KSE index down 27.9 points
KARACHI (March 18, 2010): Despite healthy foreign investment at the equity market, the KSE-100 index failed to sustain the 10,000 points level on Wednesday, mainly due to massive selling by local participants. A big single-day inflow of $13.7 million was witnessed as the offshore investors bought shares worth $14.3 million and sold $0.6 million.

LAHORE (March 18, 2010): Equities on Wednesday registered losses amid volatile situation on the Lahore Stock Exchange (LSE) on account of selling pressure in banking and oil sectors' shares, while foreign funds support helped market avert more declines.
